Our Government is working hard every day to ensure that Western Australians have access to the services and infrastructure they need - and nowhere is that more important than in our hospitals.
That's why we're rolling out a record $3.2 billion program for health infrastructure across WA - including upgrades to the emergency department and intensive care unit at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, a transformation of two floors at Joondalup Health Campus, and major redevelopments to both Bunbury and Geraldton Hospital.
But we recognise there are aging hospitals that need immediate maintenance.
That's where this additional $50 million fund comes in - to ensure maintenance to our older hospitals are prioritised.
This targeted maintenance blitz will focus on projects at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital and Armadale Health Service.
It's about making sure Western Australians have access to quality healthcare when they need it most - no matter where you live.
